This happened to me too, when she told me to meet her after the escorting it was about 02:30 in the morning or something so I did simple quests through the day until about 21:00, then when I ran to the mill she was waiting outside the door Only help I can offer is don't do Odo's quest, that jumped me to late at night and after it I went to the mill and she wasn't there.

Just wish to report back after I started my new game, I am able to meet Vesna. This time I ran all the way to her Grans home, so she has at least 1/2 of her health left. I meditated till dusk and she was standing in front of the Mill. I guess she might have been killed on her way to the Mill in my previous game. Anyway, thanks for everyone's help.

Your first attempt was wantonly negligent to deal two missions in one fell swoop ;D especiallay since Vesna isn't a sturdy person. I took her by the hand and ran straight to her home, trying to avoid any encouter with bargests.
I just opened Vesna's file in Djinni, and she's at the Mill from 19:30 (7:30 p.m.) until 23:00 (11 p.m.). She must really want to meet Geralt, because not only is that a long time to wait, but it's pretty dangerous for her to be out that late, what with the drowners and barghests and all. There's a picture, below, of where Vesna waits.

You can avoid to trigger this quest by not going to near while you see thugs surrounding Vesna during night and that way get your preparations ready to get Oil and to do those other quests which get you in a better spot for defending Vesna.
